Today I had lunch with Jill Hudson, a super adorable girl who is also in the process of expanding her family through adoption in China. We are both going through it all at about the same pace, although she is slightly in front of us. It was so nice to sit down and talk dossiers, home studies, I-800a’s, Log in Dates, etc. Haha! For anyone else, that would be boring stuff, but not for these two mamas. We are madly in love with talking about it all. They even had sweet Dora as their social worker. Let’s see, anything new I can fill you in on? Well, our part of the dossier is finally complete. My NJ birth certificate finally arrived and we have sent all of our dossier documents to CCAI to be sealed. Once all documents have been sealed, we will be able to turn in our immigration papers (I-800a) along with our home study report. Once all of those documents are turned in, our dossier can be sent to China to be logged in. After that, I believe the translation process starts. China has to translate our dossier in order to read it. If all goes well, we should be LID (Log in date) by September the latest. Moooooving right along….
